Marc Garneau’s Show Choir rehearses their dance number under the direction of Mr. Terres and president Yang Chen.
This year will be the third year already for MGCI’s Show Choir. Haven’t heard of it? Show Choir is the club to join if you want to gain confidence and have a blast while you’re at it. It’s the whole package, with song, dance, band, behind-the-scenes, show production, and performance. The Show Choir has been to the Annual Show Choir Canada National Championships twice during its two years of existence, and went to the Sony Centre downtown last year for their performance.
The atmosphere of Show Choir is enthusiastic and fun. Many of the members are outgoing, and there is a general air of confidence and focus as the group prepares for the Nationals, taking place on April 20/21st of 2013. Last year’s president of Show Choir, Yang Chen, says “One of the main reasons I love to run show choir is to empower self-confidence in others, and to see people’s transformation over a year is truly amazing. Self-confidence can do wonders in people.”
This year, Show Choir has planned to innovate popular songs such as Jai Ho and Psy’s Gangnam Style. They will be performing for the Christmas Show, Winter Music Night, Show Choir Nationals, International Show, and Spring Music Night.
Show Choir meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at lunch in room 238, and they’re still accepting people who want to go and try singing and dancing. Experienced dancers can meet Thursdays at lunch in room 238, and anyone who is interested in joining the Show Choir band can come as well.
So, if you find yourself with free lunches, why not give Show Choir a try?
Singinging Praises and Glory to God with choreography and interpretations, God really glorified.
Actually, Yang was the president last year. I'll be heading show choir this year…
Sorry Manal! I fixed it.
