FBLA

Want to get experience in business leadership but interested in more than just competitions? Come to FBLA on Tuesdays at lunch for conferences, guest speakers, and our national leadership summit! Hope to see you there!

Junior Quiz League

Who was Canada’s longest serving Prime Minister? What’s the capital of Norway? What was a  popular pastime in medieval England? If you’re in grade 9 or 10 and are interested in trivia, then you should join Junior Quiz League in Room 205 on Tuesdays at lunch. Top performers will get a prize!

Scholarships

Grade 11 and 12 students interested in scholarships sign up through Remind.com to get important updates. Additionally, check out the bi-monthly scholarship reports posted in the  guidance share folder. Current scholarships and information on applying for a school nominated scholarship is posted on the guidance bulletin board located in the Student Services Office. Stay organized and make sure you submit your applications before the deadlines.

Junior Girls Basketball

There is a very importance meeting for the Junior Girls Basketball team today at lunch in the phys-ed office. Please have your athletic fee and jersey deposit. See you at lunch!

Bridge Club

Hey Garneau! Are you interested in enjoyable and exciting card games? Well, Bridge Club is starting this week on Thursday! Bridge is a well-known trick-taking card game, with millions of players worldwide! Drop in room 333 during lunch for tutorials on how to play bridge, weekly boards, as well as monthly tournaments with gift card prizes!

SHAD

Interested in science, technology, engineering, arts, business, or leadership? SHAD is a month-long summer program that empowers change makers, taking place at 17 universities across the country. Want to learn more about the program and applications? Come to the info session this Tuesday at lunch in the library!

Tennis

Students interested in playing competitive tennis for tennis tournaments, please meet with Ms Bearg today at lunch in the coop office.

Bike Club

Hey Garneau! Do you enjoy biking? Would you like to go on a leisurely cycle in the Don Valley? Come and join Garneau’s bike club! And guess what? You don’t need to own a bike to join as we have bikes and helmets for you to use. We bike in the valley every Thursday after school. Meet us in room 225 on Thursday, 27 September. Any questions? Come and speak with either Mr. Pearce in room 225 or Ms. Woodley in 235.
