Recently, the Minister of Agriculture of Luxembourg, Fernand Etgen, has proposed a bill regarding animal rights which treats the dignity of animals almost on par with humans. If it were to come into effect, the legislation would limit sales of pet animals to breeders, forbid the use of animals as prizes, and ban killing male industrial chickens because of their incapability to lay eggs. Violation would result in fines up to $227,000 and jail sentences ranging from eight days to three years. However, this proposal was met with much controversy. A

Eric Hoskins on Thursday, would have any parent with objections their child’s immunization requirements complete a full course that informs them on the importance of immunization to both and individual and to the society. Although most children can live through majority of diseases, a proportion of people with seriously defunct immune systems cannot. In addition, their medical condition often prevents them from being able to receive vaccines. This legislation aims to protect these people by forcing everybody who is capable to be immunized, in order to stop the disease from ever spreading.
